1.This dam had an impact on people, it forced them to move out of where they were living and move somewhere else. Most of the people had no where else to live other than there.
2.Its impact on the environment cost them their past, all of China's past is being erased. They'll never know anything about it.
3.Its impact on economics has cost them billons of dollars, estimated 180 billion dollars. But it also gives them 20% more of its electricty.
4.The government had to convice the people that were living there that it was a good idea to build this dam, most of them are not so sure.

this topic is important because it could possibly supply china with 20% oif its electricity via hydroeletcric power. but on the other hand the reservoir behind the dam is estimated to flood 13 major cities and displace an estimated 2 million people. as the construction of this behemoth dam continues only one thing is for sure, the three gorges area of china will never be the same.
